Walton Animal Guild, like most other rescues, does <b>NOT</b> get free vet services for our rescue animals. We pay the spay/neuter prices as other low-cost spay/neuter clinic clients. We purchase heartworm tests and other vaccinations in bulk for cost savings. We take our rescue animals to the veterinarian for rabies vaccinations just like other pet owners. Our emergency vet visits are billed as any other client. Many people assume we have “connections” for free services and our adoption fee is purely profit, but unfortunately the answer to that is No.<br /><br />Our adoptable dogs receive regular dewormings with Pyrantel and Panacur, at least two (2) DHPP (distemper/parvo)vaccine, rabies vaccine, are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested and receive monthly heartworm preventive and flea treatment.
